U.S. vs. Sun-Uranus People

Bill Gates has been invoking the memory of industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie lately by funding internet access in America’s libraries. Carnegie escaped his reputation as a Robber Baron by donating huge sums of his personal fortune to improve libraries. Now Gates, under attack from the Justice department, has cloned this plan exactly one Neptune Return after Carnegie’s birth (November 25, 1835).

Both Gates and Carnegie were born with the Sun square Uranus, an aspect that is destined to break traditions. Sun-Uranus people can be eccentric geniuses, leading cultural revolution with their broad vision. Sun-Uranus people tend to be uncontrollable since personal freedom and independence are premium values.

The U.S. government has been having trouble with Sun-Uranus individuals lately, perhaps due to the influx of planets in Aquarius, the sign ruled by Uranus. Saddam Hussein has Sun conjunct Uranus in the immovable sign of Taurus. Most recently, Slobodan Milosevic (b. August 29, 1941) has been brutally subduing the Kosovo Liberation Army, a development Secretary Albright has vowed to halt.

Milosevic has his Virgo Sun squaring Uranus, a configuration just activated by the Solar eclipse. The Serbian President will likely soon be put in his place as transiting Saturn is nearing his aggressive Aries Mars. Watch this coming week around the Lunar Eclipse (scheduled for March 12 at 11:34 PM EST) for further developments.

Water on the Moon

Last week NASA scientists announced that the neutron spectrometer aboard the lunar spacecraft Prospector has detected ice crystals near the Moon’s polar caps. Enough water is present to begin thinking about developing a lunar base, essentially humanity’s first space colony.

Astrologically, humanity is experiencing one of those rare cycles that fosters tremendous evolutionary growth. Pluto in Sagittarius brings political and economic power (Pluto) to explore and expand the horizons of the known universe (Sagittarius). Pluto enters Sagittarius approximately every 245 years, and remains in the sign of the Quest for about 14 years.

Coincidentally, Uranus is now in innovative, experimental Aquarius, a cycle which recurs every 84 years. The Uranian vibration propels the exploratory tendencies of a Sagittarius Pluto with new ideas and technologies of how to get there. The composer of the celestial music of the spheres has created the rhythms of Uranus and Pluto in an almost exact three-to-one ratio, so that when Pluto enters Sagittarius, Uranus is in Aquarius.

These two cycles weave together to create extraordinary Golden Ages. The last time these two teamed up in Sagittarius and Aquarius was around 1750, an enlightened epoch so distinctive that historians have dubbed it the Age of Reason. The previous cycle was around 1505 at the height of the Renaissance and Age of Exploration.

Eileen Collins Takes One Giant Step

Last Thursday Hillary Clinton named Lt. Col. Eileen Collins to be the first woman to command a space shuttle when Columbia is launched this coming December. The NASA space mission will include the deployment of a massive $1.4 billion X-ray telescope to complement the Hubble Telescope.

Collins was born with the Sun in focused Scorpio (Nov.19, 1956 in Elmira, NY, time unknown). A Gemini Moon makes her adept at communications, and adds levity and charm to the otherwise intensely self-controlled Scorpio personality. Collins initially worked in Mission Control as a spacecraft communicator (CAPCOM), and undoubtedly will have much to report regarding her pioneering experiences.

With her Venus and Mars in close aspect to each other, Collins is well aware of the erotic tension within the Air Force, as the Pentagon and the country attempt to bridge the gender gap. She is blessed with enormous mental discipline (Mercury conjunct Saturn, square Pluto) to play by the rules, and achieve the highest academic honors.

Collins’ horoscope compared to the U.S. horoscope* neatly describes why she should be chosen. Her fortunate Sun-Jupiter connection is perfectly meshed with the U.S. Pluto (the U.S. chart ruler). Ms. Clinton made last week’s announcement as Collins’ progressed Mercury was precisely conjunct the U.S. Pluto and favorably activating her Sun-Jupiter.

Collins’ Saturn in Sagittarius is another fortuitous placement in that it lies atop the First Flight chart (as established by the Wright brothers in 1903). The First Flight horoscope can be used to map out space exploration and has Sagittarius at the Midheaven. This zodiacal zone was recently activated by the Solar Eclipse (plus Jupiter and Pluto), and reveals that Collins’ career is sky-rocketing.
